Monica M Madden

Monica Madden brings expertise in mental health disorders because she overcame 40 years of depression and suicidal thoughts. Monica is passionate about helping others on the path to mental wellness. For the last six years, she’s been working with her brother, who has been clinically diagnosed with bipolar mental health disorders. Because she has been his advocate since his psychotic break in April 2021, she obtained her Mental Health First Aid certification. During the last several years, Monica found the connection between her mental and brain health and became a certified Brain Health Coach through Amen Clinics and a Licensed Brain Health Trainer.

Monica is a certified associate practitioner in Neurolinguistics and holds a certification in Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Human Communication, and Behavior. Monica obtained these certifications while leaning on God and moving to recovery from 40 years of depression and suicidal thoughts. She continues to work with the techniques when working with others.

Monica previously held the seat as president of the Women’s Life Ohio Chapter 813, a nonprofit organization that participates in activities to end homelessness and hunger. When her daughter wanted to join the Girl Scouts, she was led to start up and co-lead Girl Scout Troop 0352 for eight years. Monica is an Independent Director on Maxwell Leadership Team, formerly, The John Maxwell Team, and trains on self-regulation.

Monica is the co-host of Fearless Influencing- a weekly show dedicated to developing trusted adults, and a certified Instructor for Youth Mental Health First Aid. She loves working with parents and youth in providing strategies for mental well-being and brain health. Monica also holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Devry University with 25 years of experience as a Software Engineer. She is also the author of Blessing and Cursing: What Fruit Are You Eating?

Monica’s experience, mental health healing, self-studies, and heart to serve the community led to her founding the Increasing Mental Wellness and Awareness Organization.
